electric ink are based in Ipswich, Suffolk, an hour from London, 10 minutes from the beach. We like it.

Electric Ink was started in 1990.

Originally involved in print, we moved into websites around 2000. Our progress was such that in 2005 the DTI placed us in the top ten nationally in a category they defined as 'innovation in technology'.

Our work involves us with very large corporations and very small business. Innovative in our approach to design we never lose sight of function. For one client we may come up with a logo, redesign and print the stationery, and design and produce exhibition material. For another client we might add e-commerce to their current website, or produce a Flash movie that indicates or educates a process or service. Another client might require a brochure for a tightly defined audience, or a brochure for more general use.

Another client required a self running presentation, yet another an interactive presentation. For one client we illustrated lectures, put the audio lectures with illustrations on Cd, packaged and marketed the finished product.
