Education - a virtual learning environment from Electric Ink

Before VLE (virtual learning environment) as a phrase was coined, we were doing it .

We've helped schools and businesses educate their clients on many levels. Here are some more examples.

We advised a lecturer in critical thinking to have his lectures recorded. We took the recordings, illustrated them, and produced an interactive Cd containing 8x20 minute lectures, all branded and marketed professionally. The success of the Cd's for the lecturer in critical thinking (mentioned above) was such that he commissioned us to produce an online course in critical thinking, now available for purchase at www.criticalthinkingonline.co.uk a sample is shown below at a much reduced size.

A business needed its own web site and newsletter design function, and the facility to update them, but wanted more than the limitations a content management system imposed. We recommended and installed software, and designed and provided full training that was self terminating. We are still on hand and are used in an advisory/consultative role. www.chasezander.com

A school was going after specialist status and required presentation material. We designed a 4 minute self running presentation that on first showing resulted in a cheque being signed for £10,000 with further cheques coming along. They got their specialist status.

Another school wanted to design its own printed material - we recommended, installed, and provided full training. www.stjos.co.uk

A brewery wished to explain the malt making process simply. On the web they had a very large chart (that took forever to download)- we created a simple Flash movie that illustrated all of the processes and downloaded in less than 3 seconds, and was interactive to boot. We show it below.

If collectively we can define a process, then that process can be illustrated, tested and approved, if necessary, as a course, with full interactivity. We can make anything into a learning environment, it just needs intuition, innovation, technological know how, artistic creativity, flair and understanding, and yes we have them.
