Surely the most under rated aspect of any business. Can anybody out there tell us why people skimp on having their logo designed/refreshed. The oil company, Shell™, have 'changed' their logo at least 30 times, the burger company Wimpy™ didn't. 'nuf said?
If you are a start-up budget heavily here.
For companies who have their logo on the sides of vehicles the correct design is imperative, if it can't be seen in an instant it's wrong. If it gives the wrong impression it's actually working against you. So may times we have seen bad design losing out to a golden opportunity. A recent courtesy car that we used had the logo 'lost' in the text -whoops!
Most logos 'hacked out' in the sixties and seventies no longer cut the mustard - the world has moved on. The brashness of the 80's and the recessionary nature of the 90's often shows through. If the replication of your logo is expensive (vehicles etc) then get it right. If you don't have vehicles then modify your logo for the next stationery run - it makes economic sense to be portrayed as the company you are, not the company you were.
