We once had a client who wanted us to do a self-running presentation. The client was a school. They were after Specialist Schools Status, a system whereby the Government coughs up half a million pounds or so, but only if the school can come up with a certain (large) sum of money. Our client only wanted to spend a couple of hundred pounds. We told them that whilst a presentation for that sum would give them confidence it would not alter how much they would receive. We suggested they should budget for a thousand pounds; they were horrified but, after consideration, decided to go ahead. The final bill was less than seven hundred pounds. They made their pitch and their client immediately wrote them a cheque for ten thousand pounds. They have since received further similar amounts. They now have Specialist School Status.

Another client wanted a five minute self running movie for their web site. Their web designer told them it wasn't possible because of file size and download time. We produced it. It's file size was 48k. If this means nothing to you then put another way, on the slowest connection speed imaginable, it would take 16 seconds to download. On broadband you wouldn't even notice it.

Another client wanted a cd-rom to 'sell' their independent school. The cd-rom had to be useable by 'non savvy' people. We designed and produced several thousand that were useable by people in the 5-90 age bracket, requiring no computer knowledge. This client has since had further copies produced.
