In over twenty years of business we have been extremely punctual and responsive, we have usually delivered on time and in budget.

 

Please read our terms and conditions very carefully before proceeding with any work.

 

Intellectual property - Copyrights and trademarks.

 

We retain full copyright of any individual artwork we have originally created.

 

We will allow free use of this artwork under license to a client on condition that it is not modified in any way. We will not allow use of any artwork for illegal purposes, nor will we allow use of any artwork if any invoices remain unpaid.

 

We will not use trademarks or other copyright material unless we have full assurance from the client that they have full rights to use such artwork, trademarks, logos, wording etc. and that they wholly indemnify us against ANY third-party infringement claims as a result of use.

 

For any project we will outline who we think is responsible for what, and agree beforehand an estimated time scale based on the above. In the event of the vendor not complying with a pre-agreed responsibility the time scale shall be rendered null and void and we accept no responsibility for loss or damage as a result of the time scale not being met.

 

We often experience something known as 'scope creep'.

It happens when, as work progresses, a client wants to add things. It is perfectly understandable and not uncommon, but a 'moving goalpost' within the same financial agreement will generally make success impossible for us, and usually strain relationships with both parties. We therefore reserve the right to either stick to the original specifications or to issue change orders and/or re-estimate. Clearly with 'scope creep' all agreed timescales become null and void, and whilst we will endeavour to still meet dealines where possible, we cannot be held responsible for any damage as a result of these not being met.

 

Both parties should agree beforehand what defines the 'end' of the project.

 

For some projects we will require stage payments, for other projects we will require payment upon delivery, for all other projects our terms are payment within 7 days of invoice date. We reserve the right to SUSPEND WITHOUT NOTICE any client service for unpaid bills irrespective of wether that client service relates to that bill.

 

We require payment upon delivery for such things as roller banners, pop ups, exhibition materials, posters, advertising leaflets and fliers etc. This list is neither exclusive nor exhaustive. All other print work, including business stationery, should be set aside and clearly marked "THE PROPERTY OF ELECTRIC INK" until such time as ALL outstanding invoices have been paid.

 

For website design and creation we will require an initial fee at commencement of the work, an interim fee at a time of our choosing, and a final fee upon completion. The three invoices will total the initial agreed fee and none shall exceed one third of the total agreed fee. We reserve the right to suspend service for unpaid bills and further, for unpaid bills, we will assume that the timescale for the project has been rendered null and void and that we are exempt from any loss or damage as a result of an agreed timescale being rendered null and void.

 

For vehicle graphic work our responsibilities will be limited to the production of suitable artwork. We will supply the client with a final electronic file. We will recommend suitable applicators or the client may take the artwork to an applicator of his choice. We will not be responsible for any action by any third party.
